Metal Mayhem Mariehamn takes place twice a year on the Åland Islands – one indoor edition in Baltichallen every November, and one summer edition in Badhusparken every July, held inside the park’s legendary pavilion. Both events gather metal fans from Finland, Sweden and beyond for nights of chaos, riffs and pure mayhem by the Baltic Sea.
The Winter Edition takes place in Baltichallen, a 1,900-capacity venue located about two kilometres from the centre of Mariehamn. This night focuses on the heavier side of metal – featuring bands rooted in death, black and folk metal, turning the hall into a storm of raw sound and energy.
The Summer Edition takes place in Badhusparken, inside the park’s legendary pavilion by the sea in central Mariehamn. Here the focus is on the fun side of metal – with grindcore, chaos, humour and unfiltered energy creating an unforgettable night of mayhem under the summer sky.
